On a hot summer's day, what's better than taking a dip at your local Council pool?

Unfortunately, there aren't any public pools in the inner-west. This forces westsiders to drive across town or pay exorbitant fees just for a swim. It also forces local primary schools to hold their swimming carnivals across town. This isn't good enough.

I believe everyone should be able to access a public pool without excessive travel or breaking the bank. That’s why I'm hosting a pop-up pool party!

There used to be a public pool in Toowong, until Council sold it off in 2001. Now, we’re calling for a new pool, and we want to show how much locals want one!

If you’d also like to see the westside with a public pool, join me for a pool party in Perrin park on Saturday the 17th of February.
